1995 - The company is founded and operated from the garage of a single family home.
1997 - Glacier Tek incorporates and moves to West Melbourne into a real manufacturing facility.
1998 - Glacier Tek, Inc. hires its first employee.
1999 - Glacier Tek, Inc. establishes an e-commerce website, the earliest in the industry.
2000 - The product line expands to include new models, including flame retardant and high visibility safety fabrics.
2001 - Additional factory machinery was added to bring all operations in-house.
2001 - First cooling vest company to create a military model products using mil-spec camouflage materials.
2002 - The URL www.coolvest.com was acquired to make it easier for customers to find Glacier Tek online.
2003 - We hired more customer service and sales people to meet growing demand.
2004 - Our manufacturing facility was expanded to 6,000 square feet.
2004 - Patent-pending status for RPCM® Cool Vests and bladders using renewable PCM's was awarded by the US Patent & Trademark Office and we became the only phase change cooling product on the market containing no hazardous chemicals.
2005 - We introduced Cool Armor®, the first phase change cooling accessory designed specifically for wearers of concealable body armor.
2005 - ChillyDog®, a new body cooling vest was developed for military and law enforcement working dogs and Military War Dogs (MWD). We donated the first twenty units to our military K-9's in Afghanistan and Iraq.
2006 - ChillyPup™, a cooling vest for smaller dogs was introduced and began spreading like wildfire in the show and agility dog circuits.
2007 - Glacier Tek, Inc. shipped 1,000th ChillyDog® Cooling Vest to military working dog teams.
2008 - We expanded our Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Cooling Vest Program, called 3D (Discount, Donation and make a Difference) to include all 50 states and international chapters.
2009 - We shipped the 8,000th RPCM® Military Cooling Vest in support of the US Military in Afghanistan and Iraq.
2010 - We tripled the size of our (100% US-based) manufacturing lines to meet growing demand for our 100% American made products.
2011 - Our growth continued and we moved to a 40,000 square foot manufacturing and corporate headquarters facility.
2012 - Glacier Tek establishes PCM Packaging, Inc., a company formed for the purpose of R&D and to market a new PCM coffee cup.
2013 - Glacier Tek expands the company again, adding employees and new "purpose built" PCM packaging machinery and begins work in numerous thermal energy storage industries. All Glacier Tek and sister company PCM Packaging assets are acquired by PCM Packaging LLC. Ray Booska, former CEO of Glacier Tek, Inc. and PCM Packaging, Inc. goes forward as an owner and the CEO of the new company.
2014 - PCM Packaging LLC dba Glacier Tek moves forward with the industry leading Original RPCM® Cool Vest as well as numerous pioneering and breakthrough phase change material (PCM) products in the thermal energy storage and phase change materials market.
2015 - Further success of Glacier Tek, a Veteran Owned and Operated company begun in 1995, attracts additional partners needed for substantial growth. Glacier Tek LLC DBA Glacier Tek was created to specifically advance the Cool Vest business, bringing ongoing innovation to the market.
